A Class A Pond Model

This is a very large Class A pond model which was originally rigged as a gaff cutter but was later converted to a marconi rigged cutter. The hull of the model is built up from wood in the lift method and has been hollowed. The topsides of the model are painted black, the bottom is painted green and she has a white waterline. The deck of the model is a mahogany veneer which is varnished and attached to the frames with screws, the heads of which have been sealed. The deck is fitted with a mahogany toe rail, chain plates, adjustable mast step, cleats, stem fitting, tiller rigged with bridal, traveller bar, turning blocks, and other deck details. The model is rigged with a single mast in a marconi cutter rig with standing and running rigging including: forestays, shrouds, running backstays, halyards, outhaul, main and jib sheets. The model is fitted with three sails including a jib, jib staysail and mainsail all from cotton and finished with seam panels and other details. The model is displyed on a mahogany stand.
