Well potted of tapering baluster form, with waisted neck and slightly spreading foot, covered on the exterior with an even and lustrous tomato-red glaze, the interior and the base glazed white

The glaze on this vase is very similar to that on a baluster vase formerly in the E. T. Hall Collection, sold in these Rooms, 7 June 2004, lot 183.
