A brass Crucifix inserted in the wooden panel, showing the dead body of Christ, flanked by the sun and the moon at the two lateral extremities, with two angels and the Mandylion above and the bones of Adam in a cavity on the summit of Golgotha below, the Mother of God, Mary Magdalene, John the Evangelist and the Centurion portrayed at the sides, the Deposition and the Lamentation represented at the upper corners, painted delicately with saturated colours and gold
