    Designed as a series of cultured pearls measuring approximately 8.10 mm, each within a circular-cut diamond surround, spaced by circular-cut diamond florets, the front suspending a fringe of eleven similarly-set cultured pearls, mounted in 18K gold, 15 1/3 ins.

    IMPORTANT JEWELS FROM THE HOUSE OF HARRY WINSTON

    Founding the Company bearing his name in 1932, Harry Winston deftly handled some of the most extraordinary gems and important jewelry in the 20th Century. With the finest rough diamonds available, as well as numerous historical gems, he imbued his pieces with exceptional style. His intuition and discretion, combined with his prodigious knowledge and love of stones, were legendary. Because Winston had an insightful and visionary eye for how an array of stones might be crafted into a superb piece of jewelry and by introducing a fine, flexible wire setting, he revolutionized jewelry design, emphasizing the sheer beauty of the diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds, shorn of excess metal. From this technique some of the most lavish jewel creations ever made produced.

    Ronald Winston, son of the firm's founder, maintains intense loyalty to the legacy of his father and has preserved and further enhanced the image of the "Jeweler to the Stars." As part of the strategy for the new millennium, a number of "Boutique Jewels" are being offered as rare and special examples of Winston history. The creations displayed provide a cross-section of the variety in the firm's history, some representing glamour and opulence, others conveying whimsy and charm.

    Throughout its history, Harry Winston has been "court jeweler" to many of the world's richest and most powerful people. Embarking on a new era, Ronald Winston will continue this legend into the new Millennium.
