A CYPRIOT BICHROME WARE STEMMED BOWL
CYPRO-GEOMETRIC, 1050-750 B.C.
The deep bowl with vertical sides and twin horizontal handles, the lower body tapered to flaring foot, decorated on each side with paired swastikas framing central vertical band of twin cross-hatched lozenges, encircling black and red bands on the interior and exterior, repaired, 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; four Wheelmade White Painted Ware dishes, comprising two with single loop handle and projecting spike on the rim opposite, concentric circles on the interior, the exterior with cross-hatched lozenges within concentric bands, 6¼ in. (15.8 cm.) diam. av.; and two larger dishes similar, each with twin loop handles, 9 3/8 in. (23.8 cm.) diam. max., all Cypro-Geometric, 1050-750 B.C., repaired with some restoration (5)
