A CYPRIOT WHEELMADE WHITE PAINTED WARE BOWL
CYPRO-GEOMETRIC, 1050-750 B.C.
The deep bowl with two horizontal loop handles, the vertical sides each decorated with two quartered squares between encircling bands, the lower body tapered to raised ring foot, repaired, 8 in. (20.4 cm.) high; another bowl similar, smaller, repaired, 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; a similar ware amphora with twin horizontal loop handles on the shoulder, wavy line between them with frieze of chequered triangles above, the concave neck with everted rim, 8 5/8 in. (22 cm.) high; and a small bowl with single vertical handle and slightly concave sides, on raised ring foot, with black linear decoration, 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) high, all Cypro-Geometric, 1050-750 B.C.
