Pieter Klo(c)k (1665-1744) was born in Uithoorn (near Amsterdam), came to Amsterdam before 1700 and had his workshop initially in the Singel. He was registered as 'prominente uurwerkmaker' in 1704. In 1716 he was asked by the magistrates of Amsterdam to compile the third register of 'Goede Mannen', the above mentioned list of well known and good clockmakers. He was also an art-dealer, selling paintings. In 1741 his shop was registered in the Kalverstraat between the Osjessluis and Heiligenweg.
