A Famille rose bowl, Tongzhi mark and of the period (1862-1874)
painted to the exterior in coloured enamels with flowering lotus and foilage issuing from a waving river, the interior decorated in underglaze blue with further stylised lotus flowers and leaves amongst scrolling tendrils -- 6in. (15.2cm.) diam.
