A FAMILLE ROSE 'NAPKIN-BORDER' PLATE
Delicately enamelled at the centre with a black and gilt basket of flowers, including peony, lily, daisy and finger citron, the sides of the basket pierced to reveal the flowers inside, and the tall arched handle tied with a ribbon, the well with a band of iron-brown trefoils and the border with four triangular floral lappets with black-ground upturned ends gilt with prunus suggesting 'napkins', alternating with pink 'fish-roe' lappets with ruyi-shaped edges decorated with blue enamel flowerheads, delicate lotus sprays descending from the side of each lappet
