decorated in underglaze blue with iron-red, green, yellow and brown enamels and gilt embellishment, painted with a brace of pheasants, variously flying and perched on rockwork, surrounded by large flowering peony and smaller chrysanthemum branches issuing through tall, angular and pierced rockwork, the cover with knop finial and similar foliate designs - 23 5/8in. (60cm) high.
