Eugene Julienne (fl.1800-1874) was a painter on porcelain at Sevres. In 1856 he painted two vases for the King of France to give the King of Portugal. He also produced lithographs including the cover for Traite du coloris des Lithographies,by Meilhal 1836. Julienne also painted another fan with the crowning of St Ursula.
The curious combination of Tea Dealer and Antique dealer can be explained simply - two generations of the same family. A Duvauchel was a retail grocer in the rue de l'Universite from 1832. The change to Tea and Antique dealer took place when the next generation succeeded. After 1858 he was an antique dealer who advertised among the eventailistes. He died in 1879 and his shop was continued by his widow for at least a decade
