A fan signed H. &. C. Rowley, pint., the satin leaf painted with a lady dressed in mauve with a fur trimmed jacket, her reticule with monogram CH, her cloaked beau raises his plumed hat as he strolls towards a bridge, a castle and moors beyond whilst Cupid watches, the scene is half framed with a spray of anenome, sweet peas, lily of the valley and wild roses with dewdrops and a butterfly, a bee and ladybirds, with a robin in the foreground, with mother of pearl sticks - 12in. (32cm.), English, circa 1880 - in Duvelleroy box (lower guardstick has been repaired)
