A virtually identical Qianlong-marked jar of approximately the same size (13.4 cm. high) is illustrated in Qing Imperial Monochromes, The Zande Lou Collection, Hong Kong, 2005, p. 105, no. 35. Two similarly glazed jars of this form and size, one described as exhibiting "crab's-claw crackle", and the other uncrackled, possibly the present lot and following lot and possibly miscataloged as having Yongzheng marks rather than Qianlong marks, are illustrated in Collection of Chinese and Other Far Eastern Art, Yamanaka & Co., Inc., New York, 1943, no. 1261.
