A fine Burmese gilt and red lacquered wood and bamboo ceremonial offering vessel, daung-baung kalat

The offering vessel consists of a wooden base carved in relief with scrolling, four iron looped rings and supported by four nagas, a gilt and red lacquered wooden inner tray, the outer rim decorated with shivers of glass inlaid scrolling and the gilt and red lacquered conical shaped bamboo cover surmounted by a shaped finial and decorated with small horizontal bands with coloured glass inlaid scrolling flowers flanking a large band with eight scalloped-shaped medallions
