A FINE CELADON-GLAZED INCISED 'BATS' BOWL
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The bowl is intricately incised to the exterior with nine bats in flight above a band of rocks emerging from waves. The interior is similarly decorated with a central medallion enclosing two bats encircled by waves. It is covered in a fine bluish-celadon glaze, stopping neatly above the foot rim.
4 3/4 in. (12.1 cm.) diam.
