A FINE FAMILLE ROSE RUBY-GROUND 'LANTERN' MEDALLION BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
With rounded sides rising to a slightly flared mouth rim, the exterior finely enamelled and gilded with the feng deng, the 'Lanterns of Abundance', within four medallions divided by floral sprays reserved on a graviata ruby-ground, the interior painted in underglaze-blue with four be-ribboned canopied flasks, surrounding a central medallion radiating four flowering plants alternating with insects suspending bejewelied ruyi-heads
