INDENTEnamelling of this type, with embossed decoration taken from medallic sources, is associated with Christian Friedrich Herold and Conrad Hunger. Herold was a Huguenot who is believed to have worked for the Fromery family in Berlin before moving to the Meissen factory. The same gold-encrusted decoration was also used in France particularly on St. Cloud porcelain. See A.
