A fine German silver chanukkah lamp
By Rtger Herfurth (Scheffler 444), Frankfurt am Main, circa 1760.
Fully marked inside the burners, on the lid, on the backplate and on the servant light.
The backplate embossed, pierced and chased with rampant lions flanking a crowned cartouche embossed with a Menorah, amidst scrolling foliage, fronted by rectangular oil compartment, fitted with eight oil spouts and a hinged lid lightly engraved with trelliswork, set on four rampant lion supports, including a rectangular servant light with flag.
