A FINE HELLENISTIC GOLD EARRING WITH PENDANT EAGLE
CIRCA 3RD CENTURY B.C.
Composed of an elaborate rosette with attached wire ear loop, a suspended eagle grasping a thunderbolt below, with head turned to the left and outstretched wings, decorated with fine granulation, flanked by twin pendant columns of plain and granulated beads, granule clusters below
