A fine Tabriz carpet of Ardebil design, North-West Persia The shaded indigo field with meandering palmette vine together with scrolling floral tendrils around ivory concentric arabesque medallion with stylised mosque lampe pendants issuing multiple floral and arabesque palmettes, spandrels similar. in broad indigo border of large arabesques cartouches and delicate floral vine between ivory and pale yellow floral arabesque, cloudband and floral meander stripes, outer plain stripe, few small old repairs otherwise very good condition 590cm. x 379cm.(19ft.5in. x 12ft.5in.)
