The diagonally planked hull with buoyancy rim, ropes, yoked rudder and applied engraved cartouche to bow reading "SUPPORTED BY VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS NATIONAL LIFE BOAT INSTITUTION", mounted on a finely detailed four-wheel hand carriage with keel rollers secured to a ivory-framed mirror display base with plaque engraved "SOUTHPORT SELF-RIGHTING-LIFE-BOAT of the/ROYAL NATIONAL LIFE-BOAT INSTITUTION./IVORY MODEL BY A.W. KIDDIE · 1913", with wood bound glass cover.
