The blade honzukuri, iorimune, koshizori with chu-kissaki, forging pattern ko-itame hada with masame, ji-nie, tempered edge ko-midare of nioi with ko-nie, ashi and yo, ko-maru boshi, machi-okuri nakago, 68.5cm., in shirasaya and with its katana koshirae comprising black lacquer saya, matching shakudo nanako fuchi-kashira, kogai, kozuka all decorated in gilt takazogan with shells, gilt menuki formed as three shells, shakudo nanako tsuba pierced in yo and kage sukashi with stylized clouds and geese in flight, gilt rim, signed Takahashi Masatsugu, 19th century

Accompanied by a Koshu Tokubetsu Kicho certificate no.21090, issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai [Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword], dated 1982, attributing the blade to Morishige of the Takada school.
