decorated in gold, silver and coloured hiramakie and takamakie, with three cranes among scattered bamboo and rockwork, the reverse with Fukurokuju holding a ragged staff on his shoulder with attached fan, a minogame at his feet. the compartments in gold nashiji -- 3 5/8in. (9.3cm.) long; attached ivory seal modelled as a caparisoned elephant with coiled trunk -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) long. (minor wear, a few tiny chips and losses).
