This tapestry depicts a scene from the Acts 9 of the New Testament. King Saul persecuted all Christians in Jerusalem and received approval from the High Priest to invade Damascus. He intended to bring all Christians from Damascus to Jerusalem but while on the road with his soldiers a light flashed from the sky and God spoke 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?'. He was blinded and taken into Damascus where he rested and waited for a further sign. Ananias was told by God to lay his hand on Saul's eyes and heal him. When Ananias did so, Saul immediately regained his vision and became a supporter and preacher for Christianity.
