With belled brass barrel in three stages with a moulding at the muzzle, spring bayonet (detached), border engraved iron tang (screw replaced), signed border engraved flat bevelled lock with safety-catch, roller and stepped tail, figured walnut three-quarter stock (minor defects and repairs), chequered grip, border engraved brass mounts including trigger-guard with later pineapple finial, and later horn-tipped ramrod with worm, Birmingham proof marks
