Manuscript on paper, 11ll. of bold black muhaqqaq, gold rosettes between verses, illuminated with juz division in white naskh on a gold marginal medallion -- 71.5 x 52cm.
Formerly in the George Anastase Michaelides (1900 - 1973) collection. Michaelides was born in Cairo and, in the 1930's and 1940's acquired one of the finest collections of Egyptian antiquites.
The collection was acquired by the present owner in London in the early 1970's.
