Circa 1885 The pagoda case with bamboo columns, with cream porcelain side panels decorated with painted reserves within raised gilt borders, the principal vignettes depicting landscapes, one multicoloured and the other in shades of crimson, with conforming decoration to the dial with gilt Roman chapter ring, blued steel spade hands, the single barrel movement with silvered platform to the cylinder escapement, numbered 527 on the backplate 3½in. (9cm.) high to hilt of handle
