by Gabriel-Raoul Morel (fl. 1797-1832), marked, with the excise and third standard marks for gold Paris 1809-1819 and the French post-1798 unofficial standard mark for 18-carat gold, the flange engraved with inventory no. 115
Rectangular box of pocket-fitting shape, the convex cover, concave base and sides decorated with panels of engine-turning forming a scalework pattern simulating reptile's skin, within fluted borders, plain rims, the cover centred with oval burnished gold reserve engraved with initials E. L.
