Worked in coloured wools and silks with petit point details, with stylised "bizarre" fruit and foliage, including out-sized strawberries, with a chinoiserie and another figure and exotic birds against a dark round, the centre with a pair of angels flanking a shield worked with a coat of arms, recent mounting, re-workings and restorations, cut down

Lot Essay

The arms appear to probably be those of the du Ranne of Picardy, Northern France.
