A French large ormolu striking mantel clock and garniture, circa 1880
The case cast elaborately with foliage and surmounted by the figure of a standing bacchante playing pipes, with three amorini beside her, one playing the cymbals and another a drum, the foliate cast dial applied with individual white enamel Roman chapters, blued steel trefoil hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with strike on bell -- 28½in. (72cm.) high; and the pair of eight-light candelabra en suite, each modelled with an amorino playing pipes -- 28in. (71cm.) high (3)
