A French Système Campiche style electric wall regulator, circa 1900 and later
The later cherrywood case with moulded top and base and glazed front door, the white enamel Roman dial with blued steel hands fitted to the front door, with steel rod mercury jar pendulum suspended from the backboard and impulsed via a coil to the side, driving a small white enamel seconds dial -- 56in. (142cm.) high
