Oval, the cover with a guilloché enamel plaque depicting a nymph garlanding the altar of love, in shades of blue, green, yellow, white and red on a pink ground, with vari-coloured gold rose and foliage borders, the reverse with vari-coloured gold rosettes, scrolls and foliage on a textured ground, the grille elaborately worked with vari-coloured gold acanthus scrolls, marked on side and inside base
