The painted dial with a Roman chapter ring and cornucopia spandrels, with pierced brass handles surmounted by a village scene, the case of typical form mounted with an oval brass lenticle centred by an urn, the arched hood with a glazed door with half-columns to the angles and silvered figural finials, the five-pillar weight driven movement with a countwheel on two strikes and anchor escapement
