Depicting the Great Departure, Siddhartha wearing princely robes seated on his richly caparisoned horse, Kanthaka, the hooves supported by yakshas to avoid any noise, his groom, Chandaka behind supporting the parasol, a figure above hlding a chain, confronted by Mara in aggressive stance, other figures behind and above, narrow chevron band below -- 11¾in. (29.5cm.) wide.
