A gem and pearl-set gold pendant vinaigrette
possibly English, circa 1850, unmarked
Vase-shaped, on three scroll feet and tripod base, the cover applied with a phoenix finial, the body chased with foliate scrolls and applied with a border of cherubs' masks and foliage, set with rubies, emeralds and pearls, with central bayonet opening and scrolling foliate grille, suspended by three plaited chains from a gold ring chased with flowers and foliage
