A mirror-framed and arch-cornered pier-glass at Chevening, Kent, has a carved cresting with nymph-mask and Venus-shell badge, but this mirror's foliated shell relates more closely to that of a pier-glass supplied in the early 1720s for the principal bedroom at Erdigg, Denbighshire by John Belchier (d.1753) of St. Paul's Church Yard (P. Macquoid and R. Edwards, The Dictionary of English Furniture, London, rev. ed, 1954, vol. II, p. 325, fig. 38 and R. Edwards and M. Jourdain, Georgian Cabinet-Makers, London, rev. ed., 1955, fig. 36).
