A GEORGE I WALNUT BUREAU-CABINET Cross and featherbanded overall, the rectangular moulded cavetto cornice above a pair of shaped arched sunk-panelled doors enclosing three adjustable shelves and formerly a run of pigeon-holes, above a pair of later candle-slides and a sloping fall-front enclosing a fitted interior with eight variously-sized small drawers and six pigeon-holes around a central door, with a brown leather-lined writing-surface and a sliding well, above two short and two long graduated drawers, on shaped bracket feet, restorations, later backboards to the lower part 39¾ in. (99.5 cm.) wide; 91 in. (231 cm.) high; 21½ in. (54.5 cm.) deep
