Weston Park, near Shifnal in Shropshire, is the seat of the Earls of Bradford. The Hall came to the Bridgeman family from the Earls of Bradford of an earlier creation. Upon the death of Thomas Newport, last Earl of his family, the eldest son of his sister, Lady Anne Newport who had married Sir Orlando Bridgeman, 4th Bt. in 1719, succeeded to the estate and was created Henry, Baron Bradford in August 1794.
A late 17th century house, Weston is of formal and regular character, crested by a balustrade, and standing in mature formal gardens with a park of many venerable specimen trees. A Country Life article of 1897 praises the 'stately and beautiful' rooms, and the works of art and furniture it was adorned with within.
