A related 'chamber' table with re-entrant front corners is at Houghton Hall, Norfolk. Much mahogany was supplied to Houghton in plank form in 1725 and it is likely that the latter table, in The Hunting Hall, was made on site (A. Moore, ed., Houghton Hall: The Prime Minister, The Empress, The Heritage, London, 1996, pp. 90-92, no. 8).
A related side table, with serpentine apron, was sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 2 May 2002, lot 115 (£3,346).
