Of shaped octagonal form and on four hoof feet, shaped moulded border, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms, within further engraved border of scrolled cartouches containing masks and flowering urns alternately and linked by lattice-work

The arms are those of Margaretta Cecilia, Dowager Countess Cadogan (1675-1749)
She was the daughter of John Munter, doctor of Law, a counsellor of the Court of Hellans. She married William Cadogan (1672-1726) a Lieut-General under the Duke of Marlborough, politician and diplomat, who was created Earl Cadogan in 1718. They had no children
