A George II silver tankard Mark of John Swift, London, 1728 Slightly tapering cylindrical, on moulded circular foot with moulded mid-rib, the hinged rising domed cover with scroll thumbpiece, with scroll handle, the body later engraved with a floral and foliate monogram MR, fully marked on body and cover, the base also engraved with scratchweight 26=7 7¼in. (18.5cm.) high 25oz. (795gr.)
