Of typical form, with maker's inscription and signed, W. & T.M. Bardin, 16 Salisbury Square, Fleet Street, London, calculated to the year 1800 and dedicated to the Rev. Nevil Maskelyne, D.D.FRS, Astronomer Royal, on a conforming stand with zodiac calender ring, raised on a ring-turned stem and hipped splayed legs ending in block feet with casters, one leg replaced
