A GEORGE III MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE-BOOKCASE The rectangular dentilled cornice above a concave-fluted frieze and a Gothic-glazed door enclosing three adjustable shelves, the lower section with a husk-swagged secretaire-drawer enclosing a fitted interior with mahogany-lined harewood-fronted drawers and pigeon-holes around a central cupboard, above four graduated drawers, on a plinth base, lacking two pigeon-hole divides, two associated locks stamped 'E.GASCOIGNE', with paper label typed '57.', with later ¾ in. strip to top of cornice, the handles original, one handle loop later 94 in. (239 cm.) high; 32 in. (81 cm.) wide; 24¾ in. (62.5 cm.) deep
