A GEORGE III MAHOGANY CHEST
THIRD QUARTER 18TH CENTURY
The rectangular moulded hinged top enclosing a fitted interior of two tills at each side with four mahogany-lined drawers underneath, the exterior with two short and one long simulated drawer above two long mahogany-lined drawers, on a plinth base with sunk brass castors, the underside of the top with paper label inscribed in 19th century hand 'This Chest of Drawers belongs to Ellianor Thompson being a Gift from me this 8th March 1847 Elliot (?) Monall.', the handles apparently original
