Thomas Green (fl.1772-1805), a Liverpool clockmaker, watchmaker and watch tool maker. In partnership with John Wyke, his brother-in-law, from 1772-1782.
Son of Robert Green (fl. 1767-1780) who 'makes Repeating, Horizontal & Plain Watches' (Liverpool Advertiser, 29 March 1767).
His trade card (c.1775) is illustrated in Oliver Fairclough Joseph Finney & the Clock and Watchmakers of 18th century Liverpool (MA thesis, University of Keele, copy Liverpool Record Office). A copy of a trade catalogue of his (c.1780) is also in the L.R.O. Thomas Green appears in GORES DIRECTORY (1781) at 7 Temple Street, Liverpool. A bracket clock by him (c.1780) is in the Liverpool Museum.
