On circular foot with reeded borders, the slightly domed foot chased with a band of stiff-leaf acanthus, the bowl with pierced openwork grapevine frieze, with applied wirework tendrils, the field engraved with a band of scrolling foliage and fruit basket motifs, the centre later engraved with a crest and helm within scrolling cartouche, marked on foot-rim
