Of tapering form with rounded shoulders, the screw-on domed cylindrical cap detaching to reveal a silver stopper, the front engraved with an earl's coronet over a crest, 7 in. high (18 cm.), 8.75 oz.

The crest is for John, 5th Earl Poulett, of Hinton St.George, Co. Somerset, who succeeded to the title on 14th January, 1819. His father, the 4th earl, had been Lord of the Bedchamber, 1795-1818.
