Maker's mark WS, possibly for William Stroud, London, 1809
Oblong with gadrooned borders and part-wood handle, with an urn finial and a detachable liner, engraved with a coat-of-arms and a crest - 9½in. (24cm.) long, 55oz. gross.

The arms are those of Kirkcaldy quartering Kinnaird impaling Fitzgerald, for Charles, 8th Baron Kinnaird (1780-1826) and his wife Lady Olivia Fitzgerald (d.1858).
