The first 16th Century; the second 16th/early 17th Century
The first with flat long triangular blade double-edged towards the point and drawn-down to a bearded lower point, and off-set socket with low rectangular pean and extending to form a pair of long straps: on later staff; the second of transitional doloire form, with robust broad drop-shaped blade struck with a mark on one side, and off-set socket flattened on one side and ridged on the other: on later staff.
