A GHIORDES RUNNER WEST ANATOLIA, CIRCA 1850 The shaded ink-blue field densely filled with individual flowerheads around a small central lozenge medallion with a pale green centre filled with a floral radiating spray, framed by a carnation spray border, in a pale pistachio-green border of serrated angular floral sprays between narrow ivory and rust-red spiralling ribbon minor stripes, light even overall wear, one or two minor areas of moth damage, natural corrosion in the browns and blacks, selvages rebound in parts, slight loss at each end 15ft.6in. x 4ft.2in. (471cm. x 127cm.)
